The inaugural Thrillage at Wellard, in the evening of Tuesday 31st Oct 2017 was a huge success. Thanks to a great crew of volunteers at the pop-up Scare House in Wellard Square outside Wellard train station and participation from hundreds of people from within the Village at Wellard and neighbouring communities.
By the numbers:- - 8 trips to Woolworths to buy more treats
- 54 Households on the Trick-or-Treat map
- 400+ people went through the Scare House
- 1,920 views of the map from 2017 Thrillage at Wellard event.
Lessons learnt:- - Print a copy of the map!
The mobile phone tower in The Village (still) only provides great coverage for people on Telstra's network.
- A gold-coin entry fee for the Scare House & entertainments.
The Residents' Association wants everyone to enjoy themselves, and still have some funds ready to run our next events, so a small entry fee will ensure an adequate supply of enoughsweet treats for many more children (and adults) attending in 2018 than anticipated in 2017.
- If we have enough volunteers to run Halloween themed competitions, then offer little fun prizes to celebrate another great community event!
